Puty Puar (Puty)

Founder, executive director

Puty Puar is a mother, illustrator, content creator, and book author. Currently she’s pursuing master degree in Sustainable Development at University of Sussex . In 2023 Puty received ‘The Good Chat’ a fellowship for community leaders aiming to mainstream climate conversation to support their countries’ climate goals. Puty actively engages with other communities of women through mentorship, seminars and talk shows.

Amalia Novianti (Amel)

Program & Finance Director

Amel is a mother, independent researcher, literacy activist and early childhood read aloud practitioner. In 2023-2024, she was appointed as Reading Ambassador for the West Jakarta area. She has joined ‘Buibu Baca Buku’ since 2022. She is also the founder and chairman of Read Aloud Jakarta Barat community that focuses its activities in improving children literacy and love of reading through book read aloud activities.

Meita Eryanti (Meita)

Partnership & Community Lead

Meita loves reading and she’s running her independent bookstore, Buku Mee, with her husband. She regularly shares book reviews on her Instagram account, @meitaeryanti. She is also active as a volunteer in other literacy communities and community libraries. Meita hopes there will be more women, especially mothers, who can also learn from books and discuss them so they can continue to grow and make the world a better place. She joined BBB in 2020.

Fitri Aisyah (Fitri)

Creative & Communication Lead

Fitri is a creative who has joined BBB Book Club since 2021. She has been involved in planning, writing, and designing for BBB Book Club social media platform including Instagram, website, and Linkedin. Other than social media works, she also has experience in volunteer management for BBB since 2024. In 2020, she started Saystitch, a small handcraft business that focuses on custom hand embroidery product, that offers service for custom product and workshop.

Vinka Maharani (Vinka)

People & Knowledge Lead, Fundraising Lead

A mom of two, co-creator of Lagi Ngulik, a bi-weekly newsletter which talking about adulting, mindfulness, and learning process. I have trained in Communication Studies and got my Master’s degree in Global Development studies, focusing in poverty and inequalities. She joined BBB since 2022 in Content Team, took Head of Content role at 2024 and now as People, Knowledge and Fundraising Lead since 2025. Always dreaming of a just world with no oppressor. Najelaa Shihab

Najelaa Shihab is a prominent figure in Indonesian education, renowned for her innovative approaches and dedication to fostering holistic learning. As the founder of Cikal School, she has revolutionized the education landscape in Indonesia.

A passionate advocate for quality education, Najelaa is committed to nurture teaching and learning approaches that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and social responsibility, throughout lifelong continuum. She also founded Sekolah Murid Merdeka and education initiatives such as Semua Murid Semua Guru, Sekolah.mu, Karier.mu, Keluarga Kita, and Pusat Studi Pendidikan dan Kebijakan. She is also on the advisory board of other prominent Indonesian organizations such as WWF Indonesia and Think Policy.

Sekar Ratnaningtyas (Sekar)

Head of Program

Mom of two based in Depok, West Java. Sekar is actively involved in community initiatives focused on family education, environmental sustainability, and literacy.
Since 2018, Sekar has been promoting sustainable lifestyles through public engagement and community advocacy. In 2024, she contributed the essay “Finding the Meaning of ‘Enough’ with My Little One” to the anthology “My Minimalist Life Journey”, reflecting on mindful parenting and living with intention. Joined BBB since 2023.

Balebat Buana Puspa (Ebat)

Event & Discussion Coordinator

Balebat Buana Puspa is a digital marketing professional, mentor, and community builder passionate about creating meaningful experiences through storytelling. She currently leads Digital Marketing while also overseeing Product initiatives at EIGER Nature, driving brand growth and digital experiences. Beyond her professional role, she founded Baca Di Bandung and actively mentors aspiring marketers, fostering communities through learning and collaboration.

Endita Dwi Priyasti (Endi)

Head of People & Knowledge

Endita is a mom who is active in communities focused on literacy and family education. She regularly participating in book discussions and facilitates sharing session for parents. Starting as an event volunteer for BBB’s Climate Literacy for Mother Program, she stepped into the People and Knowledge team to manage community and volunteer operations. She also enjoys audio editing and currently she’s the producer of SPASI (Sekolah Pemikiran Transisi), a podcast by Just Transition Indonesia.

Tyas Permana (Tyas)

BBB BFF Outreach Coordinator

Tyas has spent the past 13 years building her career in quality management, with experience in internal auditing, innovation, and organizational improvement. With a background in Visual Communication Design, she continues to pursue illustration, writing, and creative projects alongside her professional work.
Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering, supporting literacy and community initiatives, and occasionally moderating discussions or hosting corporate events.

Fildzah Amalia Putri Herdina (Icha)

BBB BFF Outreach Coordinator

Icha works at the intersection of sustainability and higher education, helping universities communicate their contribution to global SDG progress. She holds an LPDP-funded Master’s in Environment, Culture and Communication from the University of Glasgow. Outside work, she enjoys city strolls, photographs, and the occasional Korean drama. Rahajeng Shafira (Rahajeng)

Content Coordinator

Rahajeng is a Bahasa Indonesia teacher and homeroom teacher at a junior high school in Malang. Her daily work includes teaching, designing learning materials, developing school programs, and supporting students’ growth. Beyond teaching, she enjoys joining creative communities, especially poetry and crafting communities. Kelsha Kyara Sabrina (Kelsha)

Content Coordinator

Kelsha is a sociology graduate turned content writer who currently works as a digital marketing staff at an IT company. She has been navigating the social media world since her university days. Seeking to give back, she joined the BBB Book Club as a volunteer in 2024. Beyond her corporate life, Kelsha is deeply concerned about the climate crisis and is actively learning how to advocate for it. To unwind, she enjoys reading mystery fiction, running, and playing tennis.

Adinda Shafira (Adin)

Adinda is a creative who loves to run, read, and shape brands & stories from anywhere. She’s been a remote-working girlie (and part of BBB) since 2021. She treats every brief, big or small, like it matters. From social media posts (her favorite: designing book launch posts!) to YouTube thumbnails to presentation decks, she brings her care and eye for detail to every format. Away from the screen, she’s lost in Islamic books, Japanese mysteries, and psychological horror novels.

Nindy Ratna (Nindy)

Nindy is a stop-motion artist who shares her creative work on Instagram @nindyratnaa. She has been a volunteer with the BBB Book Club’s Creative Team since 2022. Outside of work, she enjoys drawing illustrations, crafting, and exploring creative projects. She loves picture books and stories with fantasy and whimsical themes, especially those that inspire her creativity.

Dhea Rahma Savira (Dhea)

Dhea is a data analyst of risk management team who delivers data-driven insights and supports risk-related initiatives. Alongside her professional career, she is a graphic designer who has joined several community groups, volunteer activities, and student organizations as part of the creative team. In between, she loves to travel, read, and currently starting her wellness journey. Dhea is an enthusiastic and driven learner who is always eager to explore something different.

Tasya Annisa (Tasya)

Tasya is a creative explorer with a Product Design background, passionate about transforming ideas into tangible outcomes through thoughtful design and cross-functional collaboration. A lifelong learner at heart, she finds inspiration in books, exhibitions & art markets, and conversations that empower young people & women. Beyond design, you can find her running or crafting handmade projects. In between, she loves creating and selling cute merchandise on Instagram, @tamasyyya.

Arfita Vania Dewi (Vania)

Vania views complex services through a designer’s lens, bringing together systems thinking, visual design, storytelling, prototyping, and human-centred design. Her interests also reach into creative writing, photography, video, workshop design, facilitation, digital marketing, and interdisciplinary social innovation. Shabrina Siswaputri (Shabrina)

Shabrina is a marketing professional with a passion for creativity, storytelling, and bringing ideas to life. Since joining BBB in 2024, Shabrina worked on various creative projects. Her care for sustainability and mindful living led her to co-found @huttani.co in 2022, a space where she explores more thoughtful ways of creating, growing, and living in connection with nature and community.

Rengganis Giriwarna (Ganis)

Ganis joined BBB in 2024, bringing her creativity to the community through social media and visual content. With a degree in Information and Library Science and her experience as a librarian, she has skills in information management, collection organization, and user services. She believes curiosity, creativity, and community go hand in hand making every project an opportunity to inspire and create lasting memories.

Iffah Zulva Nugraheni (Iffah)

English Literature provides Iffah with the narrative foundation she now applies to copywriting (developing narrative scripts and captions optimized for image-based and short video content). She supports this work through video editing (currently use capcut), photography and videography. Away from routine assignments, she enjoys narrative scripts, captions, graphic design, video editing, photography, and videography.

Nadien Aurelia (Nadien)

Visual communication is both Nadien’s profession and creative language, expressed through graphic design, layouting, UI Design and visual branding. She also has expertise in video editing and motion. She remains personally curious about fine arts, illustration, crafts, photography, motion design, video editing, and digital imaging.

Nazla Raihana (Nazla)

Nazla is a lifelong learner who finds joy in stories, colors, and cultures. She’s particularly interested in psychology, youth development, education, women’s empowerment, and social design. When she’s not designing or researching, she loves building LEGO worlds, cloud watching, and learning new languages just for fun.

Rhania Ismaniar (Rhania)

Rhania is a multipassionate with a background in civil engineering and HSSE. She loves exploring different forms of art, from calligraphy, illustration, and photography to creative journaling and crafting. Gita Laras W (Gita)

Gita Laras is a writer and editor with 10+ years of experience in content, editorial, and communications. She began her career in journalism and has since worked across various areas, creating content for diverse audiences and platforms. She currently works as a Content Planner, turning ideas into clear and engaging stories. Her skills also include social media, video editing, and voiceover. Outside of work, she enjoys reading books and exploring topics related to wellness and mindfulness.

Rewina Ika Pratiwi (Rere)

Community development is Rewina’s professional home, where she designs programme using programme design, project management, monitoring and evaluation, and community development. Projects also benefit from her knowledge of training and/or community facilitation, podcasting. Outside her formal role, she makes room for blogging, podcasting, content writing, designing on Canva, community facilitation, and preparation for master’s study. She is most energized when learning, purposeful work, and human connection come together.

Afra Afifah (Afra)

Afra is a double-degree student majoring in Islamic Law and English Education. She works as a teacher for international students, homeschool learners, and children with special needs. Passionate about writing and sharing insights on literacy, art, and self-development. Afra believes that reading plays a crucial role in fostering empathy and expanding individuals’ perspectives within educational and social contexts.

Asty Annisawati (Asty)

Asty blends the analytical lens of development economics with a parallel practice in social-media and content work (Content management, content planning, content writing, project management), and Research, storytelling. She supports this work through language skills (C2 English and A2 Japanese. Away from routine assignments, she enjoys short stories under a pseudonym, Japanese, sign language, scriptwriting, behavioral economics, and gender issues. Danis Ahnaf is a proud daughter who enjoys spending her free time with books. Currently she’s pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology. As a Content Specialist, Restu brings expertise in copywriting, content marketing, community building, and creative work across parenting themes, poetry, and scriptwriting. Safira Pratiwi (Safira)

Safira is a wife and mother, most at home in the (not so) quiet parts of everyday life — a book in hand and always a cup of coffee. She’s an introvert by nature, most present in stillness and small routines. Beyond the everyday, sometimes she writes: personal essays and reflective notes. At Buibu Baca Buku, she’s part of the Content Team, helping bring stories and ideas to life.

Theresia Ratna (There)

Theresia is a pharmacist at the Indonesian FDA, a mother, and a lifelong learner with a background in hospital pharmacy and pharmaceutical regulation. She’s a bookish person who loves exploring ideas, learning new things, and connecting with communities. She joined BBB in 2025 as part of the Content Team, where she creates and shares literacy-related content. She’s chasing the dream of owning a library café and becoming a writer. Annisa Anindita (Dita/Dicil)

Dita is drawn to questions about climate, sustainability, and the ways people shape and are shaped by their environments. Her professional journey has taken her from humanitarian WASH and social innovation to research on inclusive sanitation and climate change. These days, while raising her daughter, she enjoys reading widely and reflecting on how big ideas can be translated into everyday life, both at home and in her community.

Nova Gebria (Gebria)

Gebria is a Mother and Pilates Coach. She made an inspiring shift from her HSE corporate career into the world of mind-body movement over the past two years. She has developed a strong passion for anatomy, biomechanics, and injury care. Through continuous learning and coaching in various studios, she has discovered how amazing and unique every body and posture truly is. This journey keeps her motivated to help others improve their posture, move better, and feel stronger at the same time.

Ajeng Satiti Ayuningtyas (Ajeng)

Ajeng is an early childhood educator, researcher, and founder of Sekoci (Sekolah Cinta Anak Indonesia). For 10+ years, she has empowered families through literacy and grassroots learning. Holding a master’s in education with distinction, her research highlights mothers’ leadership in environmental education. Ajeng creates spaces where families drive social change, regularly facilitating workshops on parenting, literacy, and sustainability.

Azizah Nusaibah (Azizah)

Azizah graduated from Pharmacy Universitas Indonesia in 2020, currently working in a hospital as a pharmacist and joining BBB as volunteer in 2025. She is interested in reading and teaching volunteering activities. Beyond her professional works, she reads non fiction and build a literacy community (@afteroffice.bookclub). Marantina (Tina)

Tina is a freelance writer, blogger, and lifestyle and parenting content creator based in Indonesia. She actively writes for various media outlets and digital platforms covering topics ranging from finance and lifestyle to beauty. She is now in her padel era and loves to challenge herself to join padel tournaments.

Nur Reti Jiwani (Jiwa)

Nur Reti Jiwani is a psychology student, avid reader, and content creator with a passion for literature, storytelling, and human experiences. Actively involved in various literacy communities since 2022, she shares her reading journey and connects with fellow readers through @not.reading.slump. She believes that reading can open doors to meaningful opportunities and inspire positive change.

Putri Mayang (Em)

Em is a Product Manager who is naturally curious and always up for learning something new. Outside of work, she spends her time trail running, hiking, experimenting in the kitchen, and reading whenever she gets the chance. She loves exploring new places, trying new things, and occasionally picking up random creative projects just for fun. Her ideal weekend usually involves the outdoors, good food, a good book, or a spontaneous adventure.

Salma Afifah (Salma)

Salma combines conselling studies with Arabic Literature, using active listening & peer support, to support thoughtful dialogue and learning. A more personal side of her work emerges in creative and academic writing, communication, moderation, and public speaking. Shabira Damarti (Shabira)

Shabira is an interdisciplinary professional with a background in environmental engineering and a Master’s in Environment and Development. She specialises in environmental remediation and socio-environmental research, writing on political ecology, environmental justice, and critical perspectives on “development.” An avid reader and engaged community member, she draws on collective spaces like BBB to stay critically hopeful in her work. Shanti Andin (Shanti)

Shanti is a mother of two who currently works as an educational psychologist, independent researcher, and academic writing tutor alongside her roles as a moslem, family member, friend, and citizen. Her belief that cultivating reading, thinking, and writing habits can nurture critical awareness and preserve our humanness in this era is embodied in her involvement in several literacy initiatives and her Substack, dititikini.

Siti Nurfaizah Khoirunnisa (Faizah)

From meteorology to disaster-risk consulting, Faizah complements technical work with creative writing and content creating. Her contribution extends beyond this area to event planning and organization, and story telling. Beyond the workplace, her interests include creative writing, journalism, storytelling, content creating, and public hosting. Tsaqila As Syifa (Qila)

Qila is a fresh graduate of Library and Information Science who finds joy in books, literacy, children, and meaningful conversations. She enjoys creating spaces where people can share stories, exchange ideas, and learn from one another. Currently, she is exploring different ways to turn her curiosity into meaningful work, while learning to write more critically about the things that interest her. Cindy is a content strategist for brands by day and spend her spare time prioritizing movement and conscious breathing through yoga. In her quiet moments, she enjoys reading classics, women’s issues, and human evolution.

Dewi Ananda (Winan)

Dewi Ananda is a freelance media professional based in Jakarta. Previously a producer at MetroTV and Narasi, she now works across writing, content development, and strategic communications for media and social impact initiatives. A cum laude graduate with a Master’s in Media Industry and Business Management, she founded MemBuku Bareng and actively mentors young creatives and emerging professionals.

Saskia Apriliani (Saskia/Sasi)

Saskia is part of the Partnership team at BBB. She is a health-care practitioner with a background in nursing and a curiosity about people and human experiences. She enjoys volunteering, reading, watching movies, and traveling. In her free time, she works on personal writing projects, mostly exploring stories and ideas that interest her.

Siti Haura Khairani (Haura)

Haura’s professional journey has made her enjoy connecting with people through collaborative work. But at heart, she is an introvert that prefers the comfort of words. She is currently freelancing as a proofreader and copy-editor, refining her editorial skills. Aspired to become a book author, she is taking baby steps by writing think pieces and book reviews on Medium. When Haura is not looking for books to read from around the globe, she shares her love of baking through @sesekalibakery.
