2024 is the year of growth!
As we went through our sixth years as a community that focuses to empower Indonesian women (especially mothers) through literacy, we met new people, chance upon exciting opportunities, and experienced a lot of things that helped us grow to be better.
As a community, we grew our audience to 45,000 + on instagram (@bbbbookclub), 2,200+ members BBB BFF (Buibu Baca Buku Best Friend and Family), and continue to manage our WhatsApp Community Group with 700+ members and 5 sub-groups by the end of 2024.
We also expanded our #BBBBabes team into 30 personnel and had our first advisor to help us in strategic planning and networking.
We also continue to participate in climate action by starting our “Climate Literacy for Mothers” program at the beginning of 2024.

Activities and Impact
Our year was pretty full as we have additional personnel, more programs, new activities and also new challenges as we try a lot of new things this year. Here are some highlight from our activity in 2024:
Digital Contents
In 2024, we shared 390+ posts on our Instagram page with 60% (240+) posts were book recommendations from various genre to encourage our audiences to read more diverse books.

Events and Discussions
Our events and discussion were held based on our models. Some events and discussion focused more on the extensification (awareness and quantity) while others focused more on literacy quality and critical thinking.

In 2024, we managed to do a total of 58 online and offline events wiith total participants of 4,500+ with approximately 3,000 participants were from the climate literacy events.
After each of the activities, we measured our audience’s feedback through direct surveys. Here are the scores based on sums of 280+ people who filled our survey activities.

Reading Challenge
As per usual, we also have Reading Challenge at the beginning of the year and Reading Challenge Wrap-Up to evaluate our reading experience.

Reading Challenge 2024
The challenge started after we shared our template at the beginning of the year. We were encouraging our audience to participate by sharing the template on social media and filling out the participation form. As the challenge was opened throughout the year, at the end of the year, we had 300+ participants filling out the form.
Reading Challenge Wrap-up 2024
To evaluate the journey, we asked our audience to share and reflect on their reading journey using our template and wrap-up form. Here’s what they said about the challenge:

To measure the impact, we asked our participants through a survey in the Wrap-Up form. Here are the scores from the sum of 108 participants who filled out the form.

Freebies
To make the reading journey fun and colorful, we had our team designed downloadable freebies. This year we have a printable sticker sheet, bookmarks, and reading companion templates that can be used throughout the year to write book reviews. It was downloaded 850 times throughout the year.
You can access our freebies from this year (and previous years) here.
